Asbestos Insulating Board

Location/use:

Used appropriate to fire protection, thermal also acoustic insulation, opposition to moisture movement, also accepted building board. Found inside service ducts, firebreaks, infill panels, partitions also ceilings (including ceiling tiles), roof underlay, divider linings, external canopies also porch linings.

Asbestos content also sort / time preceding used:

Crocidolite (blue) asbestos was used appropriate to some boards up to 1965. Amosite (brown) asbestos was used up to 1980, when build stopped.
