Types of licence
Only persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) can apply intended an asbestos removal licence.

Getting a licence
First you must do your instruction including analysis through a registered instruction organisation (RTO) listed on top of the National Register of Vocational Education including Training (VET). Then, check your eligibility including apply to us intended your licence.
Obligations
Your document is conditional on top of the below obligations.
Certified security management system
You must have a certified do business health including security management system within place when you apply intended a Class A asbestos removal document including intended the duration of that licence.
Notifications
Notify us five working days earlier than any permitted asbestos removal do business begins.
Health monitoring
PCBUs must provide health monitoring to workers earlier than they carry out their initial asbestos removal position including then at meanest on one occasion every two years during their employment.
Nominated supervisor
Licence holders must ensure their nominated manager is current whenever Class A asbestos removal do business is carried out. Your nominated manager must be present current or willingly ready to attend the site whenever Class B asbestos removal do business is being carried out.

Untrained workers

Replacing a licence
If your document is lost, bent or destroyed, let us know, within writing, as soon as possible. Your application intended a replacement document must include a declaration describing the circumstances within which the original document was lost, bent or destroyed.

Licence renewal
If you change your ABN, you need to total a new document application form.
In that application you will need to detail at meanest three asbestos removal or asbestos assessor jobs you carried out during the term of your licence.
For asbestos removal document holders, intended example, the jobs must prove yours including your nominated supervisor’s competency within the asbestos removal do business authorised via the licence.
