You can obtain a certificate to remove asbestos appropriate to Class A also Class B materials.

WorkSafe restricts certificate holders to specific class

WorkSafe may point licences which restrict asbestos stripping certificate holders to removing specific types on asbestos-containing material or asbestos-contaminated dust.

Asbestos removal licence: Application - WorkSafe

A certificate holder is usually required to notify WorkSafe before a scrap of asbestos stripping work is carried out.

Class A: Asbestos stripping licence

Friable asbestos, non-friable asbestos, also asbestos-contaminated dust.

Class B: Asbestos stripping licence

Non-friable asbestos also asbestos-contaminated dust associated with or derived from the stripping on non-friable asbestos.

About certificate fees

Fees appropriate to asbestos stripping licences are based supported by charge units which are indexed annually supported by 1 July. There is no charge appropriate to an addition on a site supervisor to your licence.
